The Fabulous Season 1 Episode No 3 Recap And Review

Episode No 3 Recap

Episode 3 of "The Fabulous" opens with Joseph reminiscing about the night he picked up a drunk Ji-eun at a bar. Do-young follows the two to a taxi and claims to be a big fan of Joseph's fashion brand - Mr. Joseph. He asks the designer to autograph his white shirt, which impresses Yusuf.

Joseph starts praising Do-young and tries to convince Ji-eun to date him instead of Nam-jin or Woo-min. Meanwhile, Nam-jin eats alone at his regular restaurant and thinks back to when he and Ji-eun broke up the last time he was there. Woo-min's friend asks him to start working full-time for VIPs and generate enough funds to put his photos in an exhibition.

At work, Ji-eun apologizes to Mrs. Oh for causing trouble and canceling the JD Photoshoot. Mrs. Oh is furious and scolds him for ruining the reputation of her brand - Audrey. Ji-eun promises to contact another major client to make up for what happened.

At a VIP private fashion show, Seon-ho and Hye-na walk with two other models. As the four models show off their outfits to the VIPs, one of the guests accuses Hye-na of sleeping with her husband. Chaos ensues as Hye-na denies the claim, but she continues to tease him.

To save Hye-na, Seon-ho steps in and warns the VIP not to touch the model. The woman tries to attack Hye-na, but Seon-ho pulls her aside and she falls to the ground. As Seon-ho leaves the venue, Hye-na follows him and thanks him for saving her. Seon-ho claims that rumors about a model's character will never stop, and asks Hye-na to prepare to make more accusations against him after this incident.

Joseph is still dwelling on his interaction with Do-young from the night before. In Woo-min's office, Joseph helps Ji-eu take a blindfold when he tells the photographer about Do-young, Ji-eu's new "boyfriend." Woo-min hurts Woo-min's finger when Joseph says that Ji-eun would have been hooking up with Do-young if he hadn't interrupted them the day before. @@ Esther interrupted their conversation when she entered the room to tell Joseph that Ji-su was at the store. Joseph tries to avoid meeting her, but Esther forces him to greet a VIP client and buy her designs for JD. Yusuf reluctantly goes to swallow Ji-su and starts sucking him. With Esther's help, they are able to convince Ji-su to buy 89 items for JD from their store.

Joseph and Esther decide to throw a party because they broke their daily sales record with this sale. On the other hand, Ji-eun tries to get VIP customers for Mrs. Oh's brand, but she has no success. For dinner, she meets Woo-min, who has already ordered for her.

During the conversation, Ji-eun gets a call from Do-young, who claims it's day 1 of their relationship. Ji-eun laughs it off and tells Woo-min how to date Do-young for fun because he's so funny and persistent. Woo-min gets annoyed and ends up sprinkling a lot of chili flakes on his food before leaving. Seon-ho, who has just arrived at the table, is also shocked by Woo-min's sudden dramatic performance.

Ji-eun and Seon-ho visit Joseph's mother and convince her to speak to VIP clients, asking them to represent Oh's brand - Audrey. Even with Mrs. Jang's connections, Ji-eun can't find a reputable client because word of mouth has already ruined the brand's reputation.

Meanwhile, Seon-ho finds an old friend among the workers working on Mrs. Jang's commercial shoot. Woo-min is at his first VIP shoot, and by the way, the guy he took his portfolio photos with is Do-young. Unaware that he's the guy Ji-eu was talking about, Woo-min takes photos for Do-young, and the two spend time drinking afterwards.

Do-young is chatty as usual and starts talking to Woo-min, asking him if he's seeing anyone. He assumes that Woo-min looks single and goes on to say that pretty guys like them are always left behind. Woo-min leaves Do-young alone and gets a text from Joseph about the party late that night.

Ji-eun is in an angry mood, but still goes to the pool party with Joseph, Seon-ho, and Woo-min splashing each other. Ji-eun joins them and, along with Woo-min, tells Seon-ho and Joseph about the things she's been dealing with at work. Woo-min appears out of nowhere in a costume and dances for his three friends, which manages to cheer Ji-eun up.

The next morning, Mrs. Oh informs Ji-eun that a brand called Rublani has decided to represent Audrey. The team thanks Ji-eun for this and notes that her boyfriend, Nam-jin, is the CEO of Rublani and decided to collaborate with Ms. Oh's brand. Ji-eun tries to tell Mrs. Oh that the collaboration isn't her, but Ji-eun is only too happy to hear it.

Ji-eun arrives at the restaurant to see Nam-jin and scolds him for going out of his way to help her. Nam-jin says that he doesn't mix business with his personal life and that cooperation is not for Ji-eun. Ji-eun argues that it doesn't matter, because with a confused Nam-jin, everyone will always point out that she's asking her romantic partner for help instead of her own hard work.

He then adds how he followed her around the Cheongdam Fashion House, causing more people to talk about them, but Nam-jin points out that he only did it because he missed her. Ji-eun is left confused and deep in thought as she leaves the restaurant. To calm her nerves, Ji-eun sits alone on the rollercoaster.

A flashback takes us to when Woo-min and Ji-eun rode the same rollercoaster years ago. Ji-eun remembers how going out with Woo-min made things better for her. Just then, Woo-min calls him and asks what he's doing. Ji-eun starts to chase him away, but asks if Woo-min wants ice cream.

Ji-eun agrees and welcomes him with ice cream, and the two friends have fun chasing each other for a while. Woo-min and Ji-eun start talking, and he tells her that he always prefers Pistachio over other ice cream flavors. He tells her that he’s doing it because he’s choosing comfort over surprise, and Ji-eun points out that she feels very comfortable with Woo-min, so she can talk to him whenever she wants.

Ji-eun wonders if she ever missed him after they broke up, and points out that they never left each other in friendship for Woo-min to miss her. He asks Ji-eun to treat him like a 24-hour diner and come to him with his problems whenever he needs them. Woo-min reaches out to Ji-eun to ask him to call her at night, but Ji-eun brushes him off, leading to an awkward silence between the two. Woo-min breaks the tension and Ji-eun runs after him.

The next day, Esther tells Joseph that Ji-sun has returned 88 of the 89 pieces he bought from them. Joseph insists on his revenge. Ji-eun is also at work, and Mrs. Oh tells her that Rublani decided to team up with Audrey based on the votes of the VIPs. He wants to use his connection with Nam-jin to swing the offer in favor of his brand.

Ji-eun heads to work when Do-young spots her and offers to help carry a package for her. He continues to refer to her as Noona, stating that the only nicknames he will use for her are baby and honey, which Ji-eu hates. He asks her to call her name and says she is too busy to joke with him. He leaves Do-young behind and gets down to business as he and Rublani begin decorating the venue for the event.

Madam Oh compliments Ji-eun on her work, while Woo-min is busy on his first day as a full-time photographer. Seon-ho is having a fun night at the club with his old girlfriend, while Joseph tries to cope with Ji-sun teasing him.

He apologizes to her for overreacting the other day and thanks her for making the cooperation proposal a voting process rather than a unanimous decision. Nam-jin tries to convince Ji-eun to take her back, asking her to consider dating him again. Ji-eun asks for some time since she is busy with Rublani cooperation. As Nam-jin leaves the venue, he sees Woo-min walk in.

He asks her to meet him again, but Ji-eun is already passed out in her car. That evening, Joseph and Esther noted a new post from JD, where the influencer called out the Joseph brand.

The next day, as Ji-eun and her colleagues prepare for the event, Mrs. Oh and Ji-eun fall ill when it suddenly starts to rain. Ji-eun breaks down as the ground is destroyed by the rain. Woo-min remembers Ji-eun saying that she would need his help if it rained.

Ji-eun is still hopeful about the event and tells Mrs. Oh that they still have two hours before the VIPs arrive. Mrs. O wants to stop it, but Ji-eun insists on making it work. Ji-eun handles the calls until the VIPs get there. On the other hand, the VIPs are at a private event and JD arrives with stylist Ji-sun.

Ji-soo isn't allowed to enter the event, but Joseph spots him and talks to Nam-jin, asking him to let Ji-soo into the VIP gathering. VIPs enter the new temporary space for Audrey's campaign for an upcoming collaboration. The setting is modest, but Ji-eun promises the VIPs a fun night.

The event kicks off with Woo-min as the DJ for the night as EDM music plays, Seon-ho and Hye-na walk down the ramp wearing an Audrey design. After the party is over, Ji-eun goes outside and thanks her friends for a fun night to help her out.

She especially thanks Woo-min and thanks him for being there for her. Ms. Oh claims that their event was the most tagged event on Instagram and all the VIPs liked it. He takes Ji-eun to a special party that Nam-jin has invited them to. As Nam-jin waits by the car, Ji-eun reluctantly goes with Mrs. Oh.

Woo-min decides not to let Ji-eu go partying with Nam-jin and pushes her away as the two run in opposite directions. Joseph, Seon-ho, and their friends join the run, and Joseph tells Mrs. Oh that he's going to hang out with Ji-eun's friends.

  Episode Review

We already know that Ji-eun and Woo-min are endgame, but it's clear that they're taking their sweet time getting together. I love Joseph and the energy he exudes. His relationship with Esther is really nice and I wish Mr. Joseph as a brand will benefit a lot by the end of the show.

Seeing Seon-ho find his old friend so randomly and become part of the group is chaotic and fun at the same time. I really wish it wasn't revealed that Hye-na had nothing to do with Seon-ho's ex, because two models being friends is a truly amazing thing to witness.

The show is currently slow moving and lacks a lot of high-end elements that make it more of a simple K-drama than an interesting story that you want to watch in one sitting.
