Aadi Saikumar New Movie Top Gear Review

The young hero Aadi is doing successive films in his career. Next up is the crime thriller Top Gear. The movie is out today and let's see how it is.

  Story:

A dreaded criminal Siddharth (Mime Gopi) breaks a big drug deal and tries to escape to Singapore. He reaches Hyderabad to fulfill the contract. On the other hand, Arjun (Aadi Sai Kumar) is a newly married taxi driver. He gets involved in this drug deal and has to do what the criminals tell him to save his wife Aadhya (Riya Suman). Well, how he did it is the main story of the movie.

  Extra Points:

The basic idea is simple, but the way it is executed is worthy. The director has gone into many details and integrated the twists well. Riya Suman has played the female lead role in the film.

With every movie, Aadi Sai Kumar improves and shows a lot of maturity in Top Gear. He takes on a troubled role and does well in it. As a cop, Satru was decent. Satyam Rajesh and Brahmaji were neat in their cameos.

The first half of the movie is neat as the drug dealing and the innocent taxi driver getting stuck are interestingly shown. The second half is also passable and the thrills on display in the last half hour are well deserved.

  Negative points:

The film has a few loose ends. The hero gets stuck in a situation and has many chances to call the police, but doesn't. The second part made a few mistakes as the climax ended in a flash.

The story idea is pretty ordinary and nothing new to showcase. Also, the trauma Aadi faced due to his condition had to be heightened. Although the film has such a wide range of possibilities, it did not create a panic situation.

  Technical Aspects:

The music of the film is very good and the young composer Harshvardhan has done a great job. The BGM in the second half was quite impressive. The entire film takes place at night and the locations are beautifully rendered. It deserves an edit.

As for the director Sashikanth, he has done quite well with the film. While there is nothing new in the story, the mind games it plays and engages the characters at various stages seem interesting. His detailed narration and accurate timing of the film is also an asset. Had he added more drama to the climax, the effect would have been even better.

  Verdict:

All in all, Top Gear is a passable crime thriller with a few interesting thrills. There is nothing new for you to see here, but the director has narrated the film in such a way that you will not miss it and you will be connected to the plot in several areas.
